Hi!! My name is Perry, and I am a five and half month old heeler cross. I was born in the care of the nice people at the Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society! I was placed into a foster home when I was weaned - Foster Mum and Dad love me very much and they can't understand why I haven't been adopted yet! Mum says from day one I was a cute little snuggle bug. Want proof? Here's video of me and my sister, Kane, on our first night in our foster home:

Kane got adopted a long time ago, but I am still waiting for my perfect furever home! Foster Mum and Dad think I am super funny and very smart. I live with 4 other big dogs and we all get along pretty good! I love to play, sometimes the big dogs don't want to play with me so I have to find things to do by myself, like chase my tail or play with my ball, but I can usually entice one of the other dogs to play with me if I'm persistent!

Foster Mum and Dad try to spend lots of time training me because I am super smart - I know to sit and wait patiently for food (I LOVE LOVE LOVE FOOD), I walk good on leash, and I even get to play at the off leash park because I'm very good at staying with my pack and I come when I'm called! I'm still little so there's lots to learn but Mum says I'll do anything for food so I bet my furever home could teach me lots of fun things!
Did I mention I love food?? I have to eat from a special bowl because I eat so fast - but I've never snapped or growled at anyone that comes near my food - I know that I shouldn't ever guard my food or treats - I just LOVE it so much I get excited and forget to chew! Who could resist this face, anyway? Just one little treat??
Mum says it's important to mention I'm house trained! I learned super fast to "do my business" outside - I hardly ever make puppy mistakes anymore, and Mum says I only make them now cause I'm still a baby - I can't always make it all night without a pee break and sometimes Mum and dad don't hear me when I try to tell them so I use the paper - but I hardly ever need the paper anymore!
I'm also very respectful of things that aren't my toys - I LOVE my tennis balls and chew toys but I hardly ever chew things Mum and Dad tell me not to - I admit I do have a weakness for slippers but I always give them back when Mum says to...
I like kids, as long as they know to be gentle with me, and I think I'd be okay with cats - they're a bit strange but I learned right away if I get too close they get mad and I don't like that!
I LOVE to play outside. Snow is super fun! I like to try and catch it!
